About Andrew

I’m a Leeds based designer specialising in 3D, motion graphics, spacial design and graphic design. I am also co owner of Outrageous Eye, an aerial film and photography company. My background lies in Graphic Design and Interactive Media. My design work spans many disciplines, 3D design, motion graphics, web design, graphic design, print, animation, interior & exhibition design and pretty much anything else that’s exciting. I have over 20 years commercial design experience and have produced work for brands including, Orange, Sony, MTV, Nike and Google, to name but a few. I started my design journey in 1992 with Leeds based design company, Pilot Interactive, I then moved on and spent four years with the Huddersfield based design company, the Attik, helping set up and grow their multimedia & broadcast departments and producing some great design work. In 2000 I helped establish Ripe Design, which quickly became one of the most respected full service digital agencies in Leeds. In 2007 I made the decision to work independently as well as gain my teaching qualification. With a lifelong passion for Radio Controlled models and a portfolio of work covering video, 3D and special effects, it was inevitable that I would look to combine my passion of technology and creative image making and this led to formation of Outrageous eye with fellow photography and RC enthusiast Mike Kitchen.

DJI Inspire has landed.

The long wait is finally over and the Outrageous Eye Inspire was collected today. Initial impressions are that everything looks top quality. Looking forward to getting the 4K camera shooting some footage.

Karting at Fulbeck / Newark

Outrageous Eye recently spent a day with the guys at Fulbeck filming the Karting. These machines were incredible, reaching speeds of up to 100mph on the straights. We could ‘only just’ keep up with our UAV’s. We took some amazing footage from perspectives that would not otherwise be possible, chasing the Karts and getting in […]

Here are a couple of great pictures […]

Fly the light – Telecommunications Survey

A line of sight telecommunications survey required a few minor modifications to our DJI S1000. We removed the camera and gimbal and replaced it with a 2000watt light. The light needed to be flown at precise GPS co-ordinates so that it could be viewed from a distance of approximately 6 miles away. The DJI S1000 […]
